SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION

Sacramental Preperation for Adults
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA): The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process for adults who are exploring the possibility of becoming Catholic. Adults may not have been baptized or have been baptized in another Christian denomination. Sometimes it may also include adults who have been baptized Catholic but have not received the Sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation. The process includes presentations, discussion, prayer, and liturgical rites. The formal program usually begins in October with participants being received into the Church at the Easter Vigil.
Adult Confirmation: Adults who wish to be confirmed please contact the Coordinator of Faith Formation, Kim Woods Kwoods@ihmchurchmd.org or 410-661-3820.

Children over the age of 7 who are not yet Baptized
For many reasons parents do not have their children baptized as infants or young children. Parents who want to have their child baptized that are the age of 7 or above, please contact the parish office for information about the preparation for Baptism.
Sacramental Preparation for Children and Youth
Traditionally children in 2nd grade prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist and often older children are also being prepared. Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish prepares youth in high school for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
